Now that 2022 is in the rearview mirror, many people who like to travel are starting to think about the possibilities for vacations in 2023. In other words, the time of year known as cruise wave season has here. This is the time of year, between December and March when cruise lines offer some of the best prices and booking incentives.
During the wave season, cruise lines are providing a plethora of fantastic booking bonuses to potential passengers. They include everything from discounted fares and upgraded cabins to completely free flights and added goodies like free Wi-Fi and refreshments packages. In addition, several offers come with additional benefits if you make the whole payment straight immediately.
Explore the options and get the ball rolling on the preparations for your next journey at sea. Make it a point to return to this site throughout the new year, as it will be updated with information regarding new wave season bargains throughout the first three months of 2023.

American Cruise Lines is the company.
As a part of wave season and to honour the line's 50th anniversary, American Cruise Lines is holding a limited-time promotion that includes discounts of up to $1,200 per cabin as well as complimentary domestic flights on select itineraries. This sale is only available for a short amount of time. On eight-day excursions down the Columbia and Snake rivers, passengers would save $1,000 per cabin, while on eight-day cruises down the lower Mississippi, passengers will save $1,200. Both of those itineraries come with complimentary flights within the country. This deal is only applicable to cruises that set sail between April 8 and May 8 of this year.
American Queen Voyages
As part of their Winter Savings Event, American Queen Voyages is offering discounts of up to $2,500 per cabin on river, ocean, and Great Lakes cruises if they are booked by February 28 for select sailings in 2023. The discount amount varies depending on the sailing date.
You will also be eligible for a choice between receiving free round-way economy flights or $300 in onboard credit per person to utilise during your trip. Your option will be honoured. Make sure that you mention the "WINTER" booking code when you do so.
The Voyages of the Atlas Ocean
When you sail to one of Atlas Ocean Voyages' non-polar destinations, such as the British Isles, Northern Europe, or the Mediterranean, you can take advantage of the line's Winter Savings Event, which runs from January 4 through March 31 and offers a flight credit of up to one thousand dollars per stateroom (depending on the type of cabin that is booked). In addition, if you book many trips back-to-back, you'll receive at least a 15% discount on the total cost of each trip.
Expeditions led by Aurora.
The "Go Solo and Save" sale that Aurora Expeditions is now promoting is exclusive to cruisers who will be travelling by themselves and is timed to coincide with both the wave season and Valentine's Day. If you are going to be travelling by yourself on February 14, you can book a cruise with a reduced single supplement, which means that you will pay only half of what you would typically pay for a cruise if you travelled by yourself. To take advantage of this offer, you must make your cabin reservation for one of the Antarctica trips by the 28th of February.
The Waterways of Avalon
Avalon Waterways is currently offering discounts of up to $500 per pair on select Europe river trips that depart through December 2023. These discounts are valid from now until February 28. Black Sea cruises are also available, in addition to a wide range of Danube cruises that include stops in cities such as Amsterdam, Prague, Budapest, and Munich, amongst others. This package also includes complimentary round-trip airfare. In addition, as part of a different promotion, the cruise company would not charge lone cruisers who book chosen itineraries any single supplement fees from now until December 31.
Azamara Cruises
Azamara Cruises, a luxury cruise line, is celebrating wave season by providing discounts of up to forty per cent off cruise rates and onboard credits of up to three hundred dollars per stateroom, regardless of the kind of accommodation booked. Overnight stays in port, cultural events, including gratuities and most alcoholic beverages, and a variety of other amenities are available to passengers. This offer is good for select trips departing between February 28th, 2023 and April 3rd, 2024 and will remain active until further notice.
Carnival Cruise Line
For sailings through April 2025, Carnival Cruise Line is having a sale that provides an instant discount on cruise rates of up to $100, discounts of up to an additional 40%, and onboard credits of up to $50 per passenger. This sale will continue until further notice. This latter company is discounting rates by forty per cent and providing complimentary accommodation upgrades for sailings until May 2023.
Cruises operated by Celebrity.
Celebrity Cruises is now having its Semi-Annual Sale through the end of the wave season. During this sale, travellers can receive 75% off of a second adult fare when they purchase a full adult fare. Also, the cruise operator is providing additional discounts of up to $800 in onboard credit for each stateroom (based on the sailing length and number of passengers in the cabin). This offer is good through March 1, and it can be applied to the majority of trips leaving through April 30, 2025.
Celestyal Cruises
Through the 28th of February, Celestyal Cruises is offering fare reductions of up to 60 per cent for trips to and around the Greek Isles and the Eastern Mediterranean that depart in 2023 and 2024. The line is currently offering three-night Aegean cruises that visit the Greek Isles, Turkey, and Crete, starting at $339 per person. This promotion is part of the line's Go Further, Get Closer wave season campaign (plus taxes and fees).
Costa Cruises
You may take advantage of Costa Cruises' "Seas the Day" discount by making your reservation before the 28th of February. This sale is providing tickets starting at $499 per person with up to $500 per stateroom in onboard credit. This offer is valid for certain departures in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the United Arab Emirates and Dubai, as well as the Caribbean, through the year 2024. It is important to note that this promotion is not valid for cruises operated by Costa by Carnival and that onboard credit cannot be used to play in the casino or tip the staff.
Cunard Line
There will be a return of Cunard Line's Treat Yourself, On Us promotion for the wave season of 2023. This offer will provide fare discounts of up to thirty per cent, as well as onboard credit of up to two thousand dollars per stateroom, depending on the kind of cabin booked. This promotion will be available until the 28th of March, and it can be applied to select cruises departing between May 16, 2023, and January 3, 2025, that are at least seven nights long.
The Walt Disney Company's Cruise Line.
Do you want to save up to 35% on cruises or receive 50% off deposits? When you sail from select ports on select dates, you can save up to 35 per cent on Disney Cruise Line vacations, which are notoriously pricey and only go on sale infrequently. These ports include Miami, Port Canaveral, San Diego, and Vancouver, as well as international destinations such as Civitavecchia (Rome), Barcelona, and Southampton (London).
Emerald Cruises
Emerald Cruises is providing customers with the opportunity to save up to $3,000 on river cruises and up to $4,500 on yacht vacations through the 31st of March. Couples can save up to $1,000 on river cruises in Europe in 2023 and 2023-2024 Southeast Asia, or they can save up to $1,500 on all luxury yacht sailings in 2023 and 2024. These savings apply to river cruises in Europe and Southeast Asia.
On river cruises, you can save up to an additional $2,000 per pair, and on yacht sailings, you can save up to an additional $3,000 per couple, if you pay in full at least 12 months before the sailing date, or within 72 hours if the sailing date is less than 12 months away. As an alternative to the additional savings, travellers have the option of selecting a free beverages package, free or discounted ticket, or both.
The Holland America Line (HA Line)
As part of its Time of Your Life wave season offer, Holland America is providing passengers with discounts, cabin upgrades, and other incentives in addition to standard privileges. When booking specific itineraries with departures between summer 2023 and spring 2024, passengers have the option of booking an ocean-view room at the price of an inside cabin or a balcony stateroom at the price of ocean-view accommodations, respectively.
Also, the price of certain sailings includes shore excursions, gourmet cuisine, basic Wi-Fi, and beverage packages. Kids travel for free as the third and fourth passengers in the same cabin as two paying adults. This promotion is valid till the 28th of February.
Margaritaville at Sea
A promotion called "Celebrate Together" is currently being offered by Margaritaville at Sea for a limited time. This promotion offers discounts of up to $600, cruise fares discounted by 50 per cent for the second passenger in each cabin, and free cruise fares for the third and fourth passengers in each room. For two-night cruises, when one passenger pays for the cruise cost, the second passenger is allowed to sail for free (this does not include taxes and fees). It's a deal that can't be beaten, with pricing starting at just $50 per night when you sail with three other individuals.
Do you wish to lengthen your time off? You also have the option of booking a stay at a land-based resort in Freeport for $399 per person, which would include not only rooms but also priority boarding for the ship as well as unlimited alcohol.
Norwegian Cruise Line
At the moment, Norwegian Cruise Line is having a few appealing promotions.
The first perk is the possibility of purchasing credits for future cruises at a discount of fifty per cent. You can take advantage of the line's CruiseFirst programme, which provides customers with a discount of $300 off the cost of a future voyage when the customer purchases $150 worth of credit. This offer is valid until further notice. If a passenger chooses to take advantage of this offer, they will have three years to redeem the credits they purchase on cruises that are at least six nights long.
An additional choice is to reserve a cruise at a discount of up to fifty per cent, in addition to complimentary airfare, alcoholic beverages, speciality cuisine, shore excursions, Wi-Fi, and third and fourth guests (when sharing a room with two other paying adults). This offer is only valid on a restricted number of sailings, and even though it has a relatively short expiration date, the line is well-known for extending the validity of its discounts at the eleventh hour, right up until the end of wave season.
Oceania Cruises
Just in time for the busy travel season, Oceania Cruises will begin its 20th Anniversary Sale on January 1 and run it through February 28. In addition to the line's ongoing OLife Choice amenities, which already include two-for-one cruise fares, complimentary airfare and transfers, and a choice of either free shore excursions, an alcohol package, or additional onboard credit, the promotion will add up to $800 in additional onboard credit for guests to use during their cruises. This deal is good for select departures in 2023, 2024, and 2025 and is subject to availability.
Paul Gauguin Cruises
This year, in conjunction with Valentine's Day, Paul Gauguin is offering a campaign called "Take Your Sweetheart to Tahiti" in the hopes of luring couples to book a vacation with them. If a passenger books their trip to French Polynesia by the 3rd of March, they will be eligible to get a $200 onboard credit in addition to complimentary Champagne and chocolates. The trip must depart in 2023. When making your bookings, make sure to reference the code SBCSWEET.
Princess Cruises
This wave season, Princess Cruises is extending its Best Sale Ever promotion, which has been running for quite some time now. By March 1st, cruisers can make use of seven perks that would ordinarily come at an additional expense completely free of charge. They include two fitness classes, basic booze and Wi-Fi packages, crew gratuities, up to $150 in onboard credit per person (depending on cabin type booked), and a reduced, refundable deposit of just $100 per person upon booking. In addition, they provide up to $150 in onboard credit per person. In addition to all of this, passengers can save up to 35% on their cruise prices.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises
As part of its "Upgrade Your Horizon" promotion, ultraluxury cruise company Regent Seven Seas Cruises is offering customers a discount of up to 20% on certain itineraries throughout Europe, in addition to a cabin upgrade of up to two categories and reduced deposits through March 31. The type of accommodations that are reserved will determine whether or not reduced deposits and cabin category upgrades are available.
International Royal Caribbean Company
If you are interested in booking a trip with Royal Caribbean this year, the cruise line is now offering a special that provides 30% off of prices in addition to a "kids sail free" promotion. In addition, the line will conduct unannounced flash sales, which will include deals such as an instant savings of $650 and discounts on meal and beverage packages, shore excursions, internet access, and other amenities.
Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours
Passengers who book one of Scenic's wave season deals before the 31st of March can save up to $1,500 per couple on nearly two dozen Europe River journeys, and they can save up to $5,000 per couple on sailings aboard the new ocean expedition ship Scenic Eclipse for sailings that depart in 2023 and 2024. The deals are valid for bookings made through March 31.
When passengers pay for their trip in full at least a year before their scheduled departure, they have the option of selecting additional benefits (or within 72 hours if their sailing is less than 12 months away). Free airline or airfare for two, depending on the cabin booked, a free pre-or post-cruise land extension, or an additional discount of one thousand dollars per person on trips that are eight days or longer are among the bonus bonuses that are available on river cruises.
Ocean passengers have the option of receiving free or two-for-one airfare, depending on the cabin type, or a discount of an additional $3,000 per person.
Cruises on the Seabourn Line
Seabourn is having a promotion called "The Suite Life Event" through the 28th of February. During this time, all suites on chosen cruises will be discounted by 15% for ocean journeys and by 25% for excursion sailings that depart in 2023 and 2024. Also, the line has decreased deposits to just 15% of the overall cost of the vacation. There are a variety of destinations available, some of which include Alaska, Europe, the Arctic, the Caribbean, Asia, Canada, and England.
Silversea Cruises
Passengers who book their "port-to-port" all-inclusive, prepaid, and nonrefundable sailings with Silversea by February 28 will receive a discount of 10% to 20% off their cruise fare. Silversea is known for its high-end, luxury products. Passengers must make full payment within five days of booking to be eligible for this deal.
The port-to-port tickets of the line include a plethora of extras, such as butler service, included gratuities, complimentary Wi-Fi, free shore excursions, on-demand caviar, and free alcoholic beverages.
Star Clippers
In celebration of the new year, Star Clippers is giving passengers a $230 onboard credit per person when they book by March 31 for select cruises in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Central America on the masted sailing ships Star Clipper and Star Flyer. These cruises are aboard the Star Clipper and Star Flyer. This offer is applicable for trips departing up until November 2024.
UnCruise Adventures
Up through the 28th of February, UnCruise is running several promotions, including "fourth guest sails free," BOGO 50% off cabins on sailings in Baja California, $1,000 in savings on select Alaska voyages, and other amazing deals.
Windstar Cruises
Windstar has brought back its popular "Seize Your Someday" promotion, which allows passengers to select an amenity at a discounted price till further notice. They have the option of selecting a pre-cruise hotel stay, an onboard credit of up to $1,000 per stateroom (depending on the length of the trip), or if booked in a luxury suite on some itineraries, an upgrade to the line's all-inclusive package when they make their reservation. The package takes care of gratuities for the crew and includes free alcoholic beverages and access to Wi-Fi.
In addition, the cruise company is now offering a special for solitary passengers in which they are waiving the single extra on select itineraries to the Caribbean, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, the Holy Lands, as well as the Panama Canal and Costa Rica. Also, the line has decreased the single supplement on select voyages to just 20%. These cruises sail to a variety of places including Greece, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and Tahiti.
