American Express' 2023 Top 10 Travel Destinations

Are you at a loss as to where you should go on vacation in 2019? We at American Express are here to assist you.

The organisation that provides financial services recently announced the release of its list of the top 10 most interesting locations to travel in 2023, which includes a variety of cities that are poised to make a comeback (hello, Paris and Lisbon!). as well as emerging destinations that are getting ready to have their time (ahem, Montenegro and Yaukuve Island). Even though the locations on this list are spread out over four continents, they all have one thing in common: between 2019 and 2022, each one of them had a considerable increase in the number of bookings they received.

"This year, we have a varied selection that includes everything from the nearby and pleasurable to the more remote and "I really should go there."" In an interview with TripSavvy, Audrey Hendley, president of American Express Travel and Lifestyle Services, shared some insightful information.

"I currently reside in New York, and Woodstock, Vermont is included in the travel itinerary. I am aware of the reason that Woodstock is so popular: it is conveniently located and can be reached by car. While this is going on, you notice that Sydney is included, and you think to yourself, "I know why they're included since people couldn't go for so long.""

Other leading candidates for the year 2023 are the city of Copenhagen, the Florida Keys, Istanbul, Lisbon, Mexico City, Paris, Yaukuve Island in Fiji, and Montenegro. These destinations are all included on the website of American Express, which features skillfully created itineraries.

The American Express Travel Consultants crafted three-day itineraries for each destination, in which they provided recommendations on where to stay, dine, shop, and experience the culture of the area. Platinum Card Members of American Express receive an additional "extra day" in the form of a guaranteed check-out time of 4 p.m. if they book one of American Express's Fine Hotels + Resorts locations through the company's travel portal. This "bonus day" is referred to as an early departure.

Hendley points out that the list contains locations that many savvy travellers may have already visited, such as Paris, but she adds that it is wonderful to have new options that are coming to the forefront of the travel industry.

"There have been occupants in the house for quite some time. They have had a great deal of time to reflect on the things that are significant to them. What are they planning to do after they arrive at their destination? "How am I going to make the most of it by living like a local?" I want to feel like I'm giving back,' "It was revealed by her. "Many of these locations offer a diverse array of cultural experiences."

At the list's reveal event in Manhattan on Tuesday night, American Express invited actress, writer, and producer Issa Rae to share her thoughts on the list and wax poetic on her love for travel. Rae is best known for her work on the hit television shows "Insecure" and "The Hate U Give," both of which air on HBO. Over the years, Rae's affection for Paris has only grown, and she just added a trip to Fiji to her bucket list. "Everything is a bit far from us, but Fiji is a bit closer," she said. "Since we live in L.A., everything is a bit far from us." Where is it that she so wants to go on her next vacation?

"It is in my plans to eat. Because of this, travelling will be a priority for me "— I quote her. "I want to go to Japan more because of its cultural diversity, but also because of its sushi," the author says.
