Andaz Mexico City Condesa

There is a cool new hotel in the chic Condesa neighbourhood of Mexico City, and whether you are an art fan or a dog lover (or both), you will want to take note of it.

Open on Jan. 18, Andaz The city of Mexico It is said that Spanish architect José Luis Benlliure Galán was the one who first brought the Art Deco style of architecture to Mexico City, and that Condesa, a luxury hotel concept by Hyatt, is located within the restored i421 Live District. This heritage site dates back to the 1960s and was designed by José Luis Benlliure Galán.

In its Art Deco form, the hotel pays respect to another architect, Luis Barragán, who was born in Guadalajara. The hotel has a total of 193 guestrooms, 20 of which are suites. Each room features a collection of carefully curated art pieces, such as mosaic-tile headboards and paper mache piata figurines, and the decor throughout the hotel is done in vivid, bright, and loud colours. For example, the staircase in the common areas is magenta, and the sofas in those areas are saffron. A record player and a selection of contemporary and vinyl records that can be swapped out in the lobby's library are also included in each room as a nod to La Roma Records, which is Condesa's oldest record store. These amenities are just some of the many that are provided in each room. Other amenities include toiletries by Byredo and a minibar stocked with local snacks and drinks.

Additionally, the hotel will be contributing two new dining establishments to Mexico City's already thriving culinary community. Cabuya Rooftop is a seafood-focused restaurant that serves a seasonal rotation of dishes from Baja and Yucatan, such as smoked marlin tostadas and grouper zarandeado, on the terrace located on the 17th floor of the building. The rooftop bar has the feel of a Tulum beach club thanks to the weekend DJ sets and the distinctive cocktail programme, which is led by a local mixologist named Moisés Sierra Sáenz and focuses on agave. In addition, the rooftop bar offers breathtaking views of the skyline of Mexico City. At the Derba Matcha Café, which is open all day, visitors may get espresso-based drinks, artisanal sweet bread, small dishes, and cocktails. These items are perfect for breakfast or a quick pick-me-up.

The hotel wants you to bring your four-legged friends along for the ride so that you don't have to leave any of them behind at home. The hotel offers to pamper your dogs with in-room amenities such as dog beds and yummy snacks such as baked biscuits and salmon. In addition, there is a Wooftop Beer Garden and Canine Club. The indoor/outdoor space is intended to provide humans and their pets with a place to meet new people, and it does so by featuring a pop-up shop that is run by Perro de Mundo, a local boutique that sells items for pets, as well as a food truck where you can purchase snacks and drinks (including beer for dogs!). Together, these features create an environment that is conducive to social interaction.

Those who are more interested in rest and relaxation, on the other hand, can take advantage of the hotel's Pasana Spa & Wellness, which features an extensive spa menu that includes massages, facials, body scrubs, and wellness rituals that incorporate ancient Mexican traditions revolving around the use of salt. You may also go for a swim in the rooftop pool, which is heated and open all year round, and it offers breathtaking vistas of the city.

In a press release that was shared with TripSavvy, the general manager of the Andaz Mexico City Condesa hotel, Analia Capurro, stated that the district of Condesa was the ideal location for the launch of the Andaz brand in Mexico City. "Personal expressions of style and an openness to new experiences are at the heart of the Andaz way of life; these are qualities that are also exemplified by Condesa. The hotel was designed with careful consideration paid to each and every element in order to contribute to the energy of the surrounding area and to encourage a new way of looking at Mexico City. In order to provide our guests, World of Hyatt members, customers, and locals with an authentic experience of this vibrant area that is full of character and charm, we are looking forward to welcoming them inside our hotel."

The cheapest room starts at $289 per night, and if you make your reservation by February 28th, you'll receive a discount of 20% off of your stay until December 31st.
